Canvassing for Opinion - aka "Blairs Brain on Cannabis"

IMHO prohibition sentiment requires inherent addiction to status quo, an incapacity to visualise beyond the here and now and a desperate desire to know others might feel the same... Reform is not revolutionary, rather it is evolutionary. Having survived banging your head against a brick wall the evolutionist relishes having stopped. / Blair

Bark worse than bite

Checked: four-legged experts can smell illegal substances

REVELLERS bringing drugs into town centre pubs are discovering a sniffer dog'?s bark is far worse than its bite.

Because when a specially-trained drugs dog sniffs out narcotics on an unsuspecting drinker, a bark to its handler results in walkies to the police station for the drug user.

The entire UK Class C for cannabis was predicated on the priority of getting tough on dealers. This canine intervention is targeting low level users, the perverse opposite of the intended practice. These sniffer dogs are 'private enterprise' activities faciliating the protection of liquor trade venues. It is an absurd practice predicated on the specious nonsense that cannabis 'is violence and crime' creating, when in reality it is ALCOHOL that deserves the rap!

Cannabis "has become a proxy for the control of public order. (Police Foundation, 2000, 7)
