Canvassing for Opinion - aka "Blairs Brain on Cannabis"

IMHO prohibition sentiment requires inherent addiction to status quo, an incapacity to visualise beyond the here and now and a desperate desire to know others might feel the same... Reform is not revolutionary, rather it is evolutionary. Having survived banging your head against a brick wall the evolutionist relishes having stopped. / Blair

Important Submission:GreenCross

While medpot alone doesn't do justice to the argument for "Class D" classification of cannabis, it does raise crucial issues of availability of cannabinoid therapy options and despite those who believe cannabis is somehow evil, epidemiological research on phytocannabinoid prevention and protection complete with all its recreational, physiological and spiritual merits.

I just don't believe licensing will fly. It has too many ramifications. I don't need permission to have a beer and I am not likely to want a license to do what I and 15% of Kiwi consumers do now.... Licensing has ethical, privacy, economic, administrative and other downsides that it just ain't worth it to satisfy the moral imbued, the politically stupid or those who seriously believe cannabis IS BEST treated as if it as dangerous as alcohol.

The Ministry of Health has made it clear this is not a first principals review, which makes it no review at all, but big ups to GreenCross for making the effort.  So too should we all.
